We build the panels, stalls, shades and fencing that Arizona horse property actually needs, and we have been doing it out of Cave Creek since 2004. Everything is modular. The steel arrives cut and drilled, it goes together with a cordless drill and self-tapping screws, and a four or six stall mare motel stands up in one to two days instead of sitting half finished for a month. If the standard sizes do not suit your property, we build to your drawing.

Mare Motels
Four or six stall, 12×12 or 12×24, with or without a raised breezeway. Post and tab construction, so a cordless drill and self-drilling screws are the only tools on site.

Shed Rows
Self-contained covered stalls in 12×12 or 16×16. Each stall you add shares a side panel with the last one, so the sixth costs less than the first. We have built one twelve stalls long.

Shade Kits & RV Covers
12×12 up to 12×36, on 14-gauge steel posts set into concrete for wind resistance. Galvalume roof as standard, pre-painted sheets in a range of colours if you want it to match the house.

Round Pens & Arenas
Three or four rail, in economy through heavy wall. Hook and loop panels go together in ten to fifteen minutes with no tools, and the gate can be sized for an ATV or a small tractor.

Black pipe continuous fencing and horse panels in any length and rail count. Hook and loop or post and tab, assembled without gaps and without butterfly clamps.

The layout most people end up with. Two rows of stalls facing each other under a raised centre roof, so the breezeway stays ventilated and there is somewhere shaded to tack up when it is 108 degrees out.

Everything we build is modular. The panels arrive cut, drilled and ready, and the whole thing bolts together with a cordless drill and self-drilling screws. No welding on your property, and nothing to wait on except the concrete under the shade posts. If you have just brought a horse home, that is the part that matters.

WHAT HORSE OWNERS ASK
How long does it take to put up a mare motel?
One to two days on site for a standard four or six stall. Everything arrives cut and drilled and bolts together with a cordless drill, so there is no welding on your property and nothing to wait on.
Do I have to pour concrete?
Not for the stalls. Shade kits are the exception — the 14-gauge support posts are set into concrete, and that is what gives them their wind resistance.
Can I add stalls later?
Yes. Shed rows and mare motels are modular, and each stall you add shares a side panel with the one beside it, so an addition costs less than the first stall did. Space is the only limit. We have built one twelve stalls long.
What sizes are the stalls?
Mare motel stalls are 12×12 or 12×24, in four or six stall configurations. Shed row stalls are 12×12 or 16×16. Every stall includes one 4-foot gate, and larger or additional gates are available.
How long does a round pen take to set up?
Ten to fifteen minutes for a full-size pen. The hook and loop panels need no tools at all, and each pen includes a 4-foot gate. If you want to drive an ATV or a small tractor in, we will size the gate for it.
What is the roof made of?
26-gauge galvanized corrugated steel. Pre-painted sheets are available in a wide range of colours if you want the roof to match the house, and Galvalume is standard on the shade kits.
Do you deliver and install, or do I put it together myself?
Either one. Delivery and installation are available, and plenty of people pick up at the yard in Cave Creek and assemble it themselves — the post and tab design was built for exactly that.
Can you build something that is not on this list?
That is most of what we do. Any size, any rail count, H, U, L and back-to-back layouts, tack rooms, hay rooms, bridges, wood-insert panels and landscape features. If you can draw it, we can build it.
Will the county want drawings?
Sometimes, depending on the structure and where you are. We can provide engineered drawings for a nominal charge.
What does it cost?
It depends on the size, the grade of steel and whether you want it installed. Estimates are always free — call and describe the property and we will price it.
